We are owners and sisters, Vivian Lawson and LaRhonda Usher. We were born in Washington, D. C. and raised in Silver Spring, MD. We possess qualities that are alike and very much different. However, when combined, they provide us the balance needed to get the job done! We are both outgoing, passionate about what we do, and very much creative. Our motivation is our family. Our strength to press on comes from God.
We are not new to entrepreneurship. We have owned businesses before, however, it wasn’t until we reflected back on our corporate jobs as E.A.’s that we realized our true niche. As assistants to high profile, high-demanding, and high-maintenance supervisors – we found ourselves taking on responsibilities outside the scope of our job duties. We performed tasks that other employees branded “offensive” and “too personal”. As they would put it, “wouldn’t dare do it”. However, we loved it!
We worked long hours, even after-hours and performed personal duties as house sitting; balancing their checkbooks and paying bills; chauffeuring; fetching lunches and dinners; coordinating their family parties, babysitters and pet sitters; making arrangements for their out-of-town houseguests; and believe us -the list goes on. To our advantage, we gained invaluable experience and perfected the techniques! We loved it then and we love it now!
Along the way, we encountered many demanding personalities -which worked in our favor. We learned the importance of having “thick skin” and achieved the knack to deal with individuals on all levels. We learned many “tricks of the trade” and became the pros that we are today. Not to ‘toot’ our own ‘horns’, but our innate “spirited” personalities and gift to connect to others on all levels –distinguishes us from the rest in this business.
After establishing our niche, we stepped out on faith and asked God to order our footsteps. We listened to the Holy Spirit within us –and “All About You” Concierge Service was formed. We secured our forte and passion! Credit to our Lord and Savior!
Both of us are married with two children each.
